CABEZON PEAK
Cabezon means "Big Head" in Spanish, but a lot of people say it reminds them of a sombrero. Located to the southeast of Cuba off hiway 550 on county road 279 through San Luis.
This is an area of volcanic plugs, of which Cabezon Peak is the most predominant. It rises 2,000 ft off the valley floor and there is a climbing route on the south side that can be ascended by people in good shape and not afraid of climbing a few steep rock pitches.
